Man Gets 50 years to Life after Sexually Assaulting Girlfriends Daughter
An El Monte man was sentenced today to spend 50 years to life in a state prison after sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s young daughter and another underage girl. The man is identified as Miguel Angel Lomeli and is 43 years old and has been ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Lomeli was found guilty on two counts of sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 or younger as well as oral copulations or sexual penetration with a child 10 or younger. He was also found guilty on one count of forcible lewd act upon a child involving a girl. According to authorities, Lomeli was also convicted of one count of attempted lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 involving another girl. Police reported that Lomeli was dating the younger girl’s mother for a short time before moving in with her. Lomeli was arrested in 2012 and has remained in jail since then.
