Passenger Killed in El Monte Car Crash

Earlier this week there was a horrific car crash on the northbound Rosemead Boulevard on-ramp to the eastbound 60 Freeway. When the police arrived at the scene of the crash, they found one man dead while the driver of the vehicle fled the scene before cops arrived. The suspect was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Galant and fled the crash scene and has still not been found. When detectives arrived on the scene, they found two guns in the suspect’s car and believe that the occupants of the vehicle may have been involved in the Pico Rivera shooting of a man who showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound just before the crash. The victim of the crash was identified as a 19-year-old boy and he was the man found dead at the scene of the car accident. Police are asking for the help of the community in finding the driver of the vehicle before he causes any more turmoil in the city. If you have any information about the accident or the gentlemen involved in the accident, then please contact the El Monte Police Department as soon as possible so the information could assist in finding the suspect on the run.
